搞笑短片动画《gdgd妖精s》描写的是皮克匹克、希露希露和库洛库洛三位妖精的日常搞笑故事，采用全CG技术制作，每话包括三位妖精的日常聊天、在“精神与时间小屋”使用魔法进行比赛，以及通过镜之湖来观察“另一边”的世界等几个环节。动画第一期曾于2011年秋在NICONICO动画网站和TOKYO MX电视台放送，虽然所使用的CG技术可以用“拙劣”来形容，但是凭借有趣的吐槽向情节在日本网络上有很高的人气。 本作主要策划人为CGI制作出道的菅原状太，由其一手担当企划、影像监督及角色设计的工作。全部影像均用到日本当地MAD片和二次创作的制作技术，涉及的3D软件包括MikuMikuDance、Shade及六角大王等。而有别于2D动画，本作大部分的内容是配音工作完成以后才开始制作影像。而第1期官方网站就曾经公开承认，本作的制作预算相对紧拙，大部分的影像制作只能逼在播放前约一周内，几乎毫无休止的状况下完成。

A princess star fairy named Sparkle lives up in the clouds in Castle WishStar. Her job is to grant wishes to children when they wish upon a star. But lately, she has been overwhelmed by the increasing number of wishes being made. So she asks for help and receives not one but five new star fairy helpers. But more troubles arise when they meet a little girl who is upset but cannot think of a wish to make her happy.

The Blue Fairy is the leader of the young fairies. Together with her companions, she is going to find the lost treasure. She is supported by the old wise fairies. On their travels they discover many magic secrets and get to know many different fairy clans. The various clans are specialized in various disciplines. The young fairies learn how to deal with danger, difficult situations, fights and other challenges.
